We are excited to announce the launch of a dedicated section on our website that brings all our free forensic tools together in one convenient place. Designed for digital investigators and IT professionals, this new hub highlights our ongoing commitment to supporting the forensic community with accessible, practical, and reliable solutions
Digital investigations often require a broad set of utilities, and while our commercial products deliver comprehensive capabilities, many cases also benefit from small, specialized tools that solve very specific problems. For years, we have provided several such utilities at no cost. Now, with the introduction of the new Free Forensic Tools section, users have a single, unified destination to access them.
Our growing collection includes lightweight triage and discovery tools, image-mounting utilities, open-source firewall software for secure agent sideloading to iOS devices, and even hardware-assisted screenshot automation for iPhones and iPads.
Elcomsoft Encrypted Disk Hunter helps investigators quickly locate encrypted containers on live systems, offering immediate insight during the early stages of analysis. FSTOOL enables Windows users to mount HFS and APFS file system images extracted from legacy iOS devices. For agent-based iOS extraction workflows, our open-source EIFTPI firewall package transforms a Raspberry Pi or compatible microcomputer into a controlled, whitelisted environment for safe sideloading. And for scenarios where on-device data must be recorded visually, picoScrollNScreenshot automates long, scrollable screenshots from iOS devices to capture evidence that may not be available through other acquisition methods.
While each tool serves a different function, they share a common purpose: making forensic work more efficient and accessible. By bringing them together, we aim to streamline how specialists discover, obtain, and use these resources in their everyday workflows.
There is more to come. We are actively developing additional free utilities to simplify complex tasks and boost productivity. The new Free Forensic Tools section will continue to expand as these solutions become available.
